    Hi Kevin,

Thank you for posting to the AAMV forum!

Could you share a bit more about your manual?

Things to consider: If you have a human resources department or access to counsel, they would be the a great first stop for legal advice on the verbiage, especially for California law.

You could also try the Center for Nonprofit Management (Southern California)  https://www.cnmsocal.org/

Another resource could be the Executive Service Corps of SoCal --  Meghan Maloney is on the board of DOVIA LA  and would be an excellent resource www.escsc.org

You might be able to identify someone for pro-bono work here

    https://www.calbar.ca.gov/attorneys/volunteer

Outside of CA, I've learned from Barron Oda in Hawaii (counsel to the Bishop Museum) barronoda@gmail.com

I took a look at the Surfrider Foundation Board, and the following members are attorneys:  Sarah Lim, Ed Lunsford, and Teresa Christopher

If you'd just like to have another set of eyes on your document, feel free to send it to me directly at daraujo@exploratorium.edu

I hope our members will chime in with their suggestions as well!

    All the best,

    Deirdre
