creating new volunteer roles

    We use volunteers in a wide variety of roles in our museum, but want to consider expanding to a few new areas:

    Membership volunteers

    Greeters/information desk volunteers

    Tour guides

    Volunteers who lead an coordinate other volunteers as part of a project 

    Does anyone have position descriptions for these particular types of roles, and advice as to what kind of training and supervision needs to be invested?  Cautionary tales?

    We would love to get some specific information either through this forum, by e-mail to me (position descriptions, for example - which could also be posted in the resource section of this website), or through a telephone call.
