No one needs to convince museum employees or volunteers that museums are essential, but sometimes our elected officials and those who make funding decisions need to hear this message loud and clear. The American Alliance of Museums (AAM) sponsors an Advocacy Day each year where museum professionals visit their congress representatives, but anyone can be an advocate for museums at any time of the year.
